Carrier Oils are used to dilute Essential Oils. Carrier Oils come in a variety of styles and allow you control the amount of Essential Oil used.

Carrier Oils are as their name implies a vehicle to carry the essential oil for topical use. Carriers Oils do not provide any therapeutic value and in that sense are considered to be neutral. However, if you use essential oils it is highly recommended to be in an honored position next to your essential oils. Listed below are examples of commonly used Carrier Oils and their attributes:

Grapeseed Oil
Absorbs easily into the skin
One of the lightest oils

Sweet Almond Oil
Easily absorbed into the skin
All purpose
Light nutty aroma
Can react with people with nut allergies
